Being open to a reiki experience is the most freeing part of energy work. You have nothing to prepare. You just need to show up. There is no need to be nervous. When you are in a receptive state and not attached to specific outcomes, you open yourself up to positive new energy to create healing shifts in wonderful ways you never thought possible.
When you are booking a session, whether in-person or at a distance, find a time where you are not going to be rushed. When in a relaxed state, the body can then go into rest and repair modes of healing.
After your session, give yourself time to rest and recharge. I always recommend to give yourself time to a have bath or shower, as well as hydrating your body. e the body can enter into relaxation mode. This will help your body to shift into a mode where deeper healing, cellular repair and rejuvenation can take place.
Self care will optimize your healing between sessions and continue to support your mind, body and soul. If you need support in determining a good routine, please feel free to ask. I am happy to provide ideas of meditation, journalling or creating a plan that works for you and yourself lifestyle.
I highly recommend to have a journal both at your in-person sessions and at a distance. This is a great time to take notes and reminders of how you have shown up for yourself! This can be excellent later on for reference, motivation and encouragement.
Be consistent with booking follow up sessions when they are recommended because more than one session is often needed to create long-lasting healing results. When you book a series of healing sessions, then it gives you more opportunity to strengthen, come back into balance and heal which can be the key to successful healing. My recommendation is at least every few weeks initially, then we can reduce as we address some of the concerns.
